Beit Al-Aseilat 'The Residence of Native Women' is the first restaurant in Jerash - if not in Jordan- to highlight the history of Olive trees and Olive oil of Jordan.
After visiting the ancient Byzantine Olive press of the historic site of our city, we decided to shine a light on this aspect of economy which our city has relied on for almost 3000 years.
In addition to food, Olive oil tasting experience and cooking classes, we offer the chance to learn how our Za’atar and Sumac are made.
These herbs are our traditional Middle Eastern spice blends that varies from country to country, family to family, and cook to cook.
We invite you to visit our Olive press, show room and shop to enhance your knowledge of Jordans history and cuisine. In addition, we’d love you to enjoy the taste of our farmed Olives and home-made food of Olives and Olive oil which enrich our family recipes.
